- I am a plant pathologist by training, but love gardening and experimenting with new plants. I grow vegetables, perennials, shrubs, trees and some annuals. Where I live is the perfect place to trial plants for cold hardiness, drought tolerance and critter (deer, ground squirrel, moose, bear, vole) resistance.
